Computer program to take on "Jeopardy"
US regulatory 'czar' nominee wants Net "Fairness Doctrine" - how about requiring opposing opinions be linked and also he has suggested angry e-mails should be prevented from being sent by technology that would require a 24-hour cooling off period. WTF?!!! I had to check that this was not from The Onion.

REMINDER: No class on Thursday, April 9th. On Holy Thursday, the University cancels all classes starting at 5:00pm. Since we start at 4:30pm, we could meet, but I understand that many of you will be traveling for Easter so we won't be holding class on that day.

Congratulations! Most of you got your commands done in time, although one student was 55 seconds late. This assignment will take some time to grade, so I will be handing the results out to you on Tuesday of next week, instead of Thursday the fifth.

Several students have not been able to find Putty (FAQ) online. Here is a direct link - save the file to your desktop and then just double-click to run it (there is no install program).
Now this is funny! After class on Tuesday, and knowing that it is supposedly an Apple Computer, you should find it funny as well.
